Welcome

Ken and I met about 5 years ago through KVOM, the radio station Ken worked for. Kristie, my business partner, and I were running ads for our new salon and Ken was our sales rep; and a good one at that!  Hundreds of dollars in ads, countless early mornings going to the radio station, and about a year later, we were smitten!

Our most favorite restaurant is Copeland's in Little Rock. About a year ago Kenny offered to take me and my whole family there for lunch after church one Sunday, HIS treat. We ate and had a wonderful time. It wasn't until a couple days later that my family revealed to us that they thought he was going to POP the BIG quesiton that day! They were all on pins and needles for the whole lunch thinking he was about to do something BIG! But, he didn't.

Then, this past September, Ken offered to do the same thing...go to Copeland's on his bill. So we all agreed! So after church my mom and dad and brother and 2 sisters and Ken's 2 boys Zech and Nigel, and Ken and I loaded up.  On our way to church that morning I remember telling Ken "Remember last time we went to Copeland's? Everyone thought you were going to propose!" We both laughed it off and kept going.
So, after we order or entrees and are nibbling on appetizers I notice Ken digging in his pocket. And he wasn't just trying to get a dollar bill our or something, he was DIGGING! I asked him if he was ok and he said "Yes, I'm fine, just trying to get something out of my pocket." The thought of him digging a ring out NEVER crossed my mind, Then lo and behold, Kenny stands up and has a ring in his hand! He gets down on one knee and said something very sweet (I cannot tell you what it was, I was way too flabbergasted!) and then said "Will you marry me!" My hands were over my face and my dad said "WELL, ANSWER HIM!" and then I said "Yes!! Of course!!" He put the ring on and we orderd champagne and then attempted to have our delishous lunch, but I was freaking out way to much to do that! Such a great day! A day I have waited for my whole life!

May 19th, 2012 is the BIG day! Our wedding will take place at our church, where my family and I have been members for 10 years and it's also the church where Kenny was baptized and recieved his first communion; Immaculate Heart of Mary in North Little Rock, Arkasas. The reception will also be there at IHM in the parish life center. It will be a great party and we can't wait to share this special day and our love with everyone.

We look forward to seeing everyone at our wedding and being with us as two families are joined together to celebrate this very special day and start this new and exciting chapter in our lives! We love you all!

XOXOXO-Rachel and Ken
